Overview
Nissan Frontier is a midsize pickup truck known for performance, towing capability, interior roominess and real-world utility. The 2010 Frontier is offered in both King Cab and Crew Cab body styles, in 4x2 and 4x4 driveline configurations and in a choice of four well-equipped trim levels ? XE, SE, LE and PRO-4X. It is now includes side and curtain supplemental air bags on all models and standard Vehicle Dynamic Control (VDC) on all V6-equipped models.
Power and performance
The 2010 Nissan Frontier offers an extraordinary level of on- and off-road performance with the use of a 4.0-liter DOHC V6 engine. A 152-horsepower 2.5-liter inline 4-cylinder engine is also available (King Cab only). It is offered with a choice of transmissions ? a smooth 5-speed automatic, a 6-speed manual or 5-speed manual transmission (King Cab 4-cylinder models).
The Frontier is a fitting truck for work or play with its strong performance, combined with good fuel mileage (19 city, 23 highway, King Cab 2WD). Its maximum towing capacity is rated at up to 6,500 pounds (maximum, when properly equipped).
Body and styling
The 2010 Nissan Frontier is rich in feature content with standard amenities such as full-size spare tire; 15-, 16- and 18-inch wheels; front UV-reducing solar glass; variable intermittent windshield wipers; locking tailgate and cargo bed light; rear privacy glass; four cup holders, four bottle holders and front and rear door storage pockets; two 12-volt DC power outlets; second-row under-seat storage; forward-facing rear flip-up seats; and fold-flat front-passenger?s seat found across all trim levels. Technology Package; XE Preferred Package; SE V6 Value Truck Package; and SE 4-cylinder Power Package are optional.
Safety Features
The 2010 Nissan Frontier includes a long list of safety equipment, including Zone Body construction with front and rear crumple zones, Nissan Advanced Air Bag System, 3-point seat belts for all rear seat occupants, including center position (Crew Cab), LATCH (Lower Anchors and Tethers for CHildren) child seat anchor system (Crew Cab) and a Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS).
